A School for Nepal
For a book project, I traveled to Nepal in 2016 and also visited the hometown of my friend Shiba Hari Rijal, who had lived for several years in Bad Aussee. While there, I decided to do something to help, at least for the 150 children living in the village who had lost their school—and with it, their chance for education—due to the devastating earthquake in 2015. Through the auction of donated goods, hunting experiences, and generous monetary donations from my personal network, including the editorial team of the hunting magazine “Anblick” and the organizing team of the hunters' conference in Aigen, the school was able to reopen in 2019.
